We've Got Ourselves A Big One!

Callie is officially 7lbs! She is wearing her newborn size clothes now, which I love because she has so many more cute ones. She is doing really well and I love every minute of it.

I have to go back to work on the 18th, which I am not happy about. I don't know how people do it. Atleast I get to work from home alot.

Callie had her first bit of formula last night because she has been eating so much I haven't been able to get ahead of her for when I go back to work. She didn't mind it. Now, she wouldn't take it from me, but my Mom loves it because she can feed her. I don't have any excuses anymore because now we have a supply, so I have to go back to work......

We took a long time to pick ones we liked, but we finally did her announcements last week and they will hopefully go out in the mail on Monday!

On a different note, Kevin and Shannon are Callie's godparents and we wanted to baptise her this summer, but we have to wait until Shannon turns 16. So we will do it in September when Shannon can drive everyone to Austin! I don't know whats so special about 16, but I don't think it will change Shannon and Kevin's funny behavior! They will be great god parents and definitely entertaining! Now they just have extra time to practice......

1 Month Old!

On the 6th, Callie turned 1 month old. This is actually supposed to be her due date! She is healthy and almost 6 pounds. I know that sounds like nothing to most, but she was 5lbs 9oz when she was born and had dropped down to 5lbs even after birth. She is super healthy and is so much fun. We love spending time with her and introducing her to our friends and family and her new friends. I can't wait unitl she gets to meet her cousins, but everyone is so busy it is hard to find time for all of us to get together and without someone getting pregnant.....I can't wait for the things to come and Sean and I could not be happier. We love being parents and love that we have so many friends and family that are all experiencing it at the same time. We are lucky for Callie to have so many friends already!

Callie is Here!

So it took me a few weeks to get back on here, but Callie is here. She was born April 6, 2009 at 12:11PM. She was 5lbs 9oz and 19inches long. She was born at 35 weeks and 5 days, but she is super healthy! She got a 10 on her APGAR and did not need any help breathing or anything! It was such a relief that she was healthy. I was so worried about her. I found out on the 4th that it was necessary for me to be induced if I wanted to try to have her without a C-Section. I bearly made it and had some bumps along the way, but all of the nurses and my family helped me push through. I feel so much better now and they were right! As soon as you have the baby when you have preeclampsia, you feel like a million bucks.

I love being a mom and Sean is having a blast being a father! We are trying to get used to the feeding schedule every 3 hours, but other than that, everything is great and she is just perfect! Obviously I am biased.......I will work on doing more posts and putting up pictures because we have tons, especially with my mom being home!

35 Weeks and the fun has begun!

So, I went to the hospital on Monday for my normal testing for preeclampsia, and I officially have it now. I will be staying in the hospital until I either go into labor or they induce me due to complications from the preeclampsia. Hopefully it will be soon. The baby is super healthy and doing really well. Sean loves the hospital pull out couch and will just have to get used to it!

My parents made it back just in time for me to be put in the hospital, so all of the fun things we were going to do at home will not be happening, but it is so nice to be able to let Sean go back to work when nothing is happening and my parents are here to stay with me. My mom sits here with me and my dad comes often. He is off shopping for a car for them and comes in between doing all of that. He is a big help and the dogs are so glad he is home! With Sean and I being gone, they love having him there. He is their best friend and they know who to go to for what they want and to be spoiled!

Hopefully our baby girl will be here soon! The assured us that she should not have any major issues, just may need some help staying warm if she is little. Other than that, if I can stay healthy we will be in good shape. My blood pressure is all over the place, and at some point they will tell me that's enough and will induce me. We are doing well though, Sean just needs to get some good sleep, luckily he's a fireman.......

34 Weeks!!!!!

Well, we have officially made it to 34 weeks! With everything that has been going on, this is a great relief. We went to the hospital on Monday for our weekly visit there. They monitor me and Callie and continuously check my blood pressure. I am doing pretty well thanks to the bed rest that I HATE! Sean continues to remind me of what I am allowed to do and makes me stay in my spot on the couch.

Now they just want me to not only be on bed rest, but laying down at all times. It seams to make a big difference in my blood pressure, which is good for little Miss Callie so she can stay in there longer. I am getting really excited and can't wait to see her and hold her.

My parents will be home in 7 days!!!! I can't wait. It looks like my parents will be home before she gets here, lets just not jinx it! We are excited to move forward and I am ready to get off bed rest. Sean is going to need a vacation after this is all I know!

Maternity Pictures

Sean and I got our pictures taken a few weeks ago. I was 31 weeks, almost 32, and the day before I went on bed rest! So lucky we got them done. I was really swollen and wasn't thrilled about that, but glad we did them anyways. I will just have pictures now to remind Callie what I went through before she was here! We are so excited!
My aunt, cousins, and their babies came in town to visit us this week and helped us get ready for Callie since she might come a little early. It was a blast and so glad they came. My aunt can always get more done in 1 1/2 days than I could in a week! With my mom being gone I needed her help desperately. She just takes over and makes the decisions for me.......We are completely organized, sterilized, stocked up, and ready for Callie to be here. Thank you girls!

Bed Rest.......

So, I am officially stuck on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. I just thought I would make things more interesting for Sean. Now he can clean the inside of the house, take care of the yard, the dogs, and most importantly, ME. I have been having some problems with my blood pressure and swelling. I am doing fine and am learning how boring sitting around all day can get. I went to the specialist and they looked at Callie. She is GREAT! She is just where she is supposed to be size wise and has not been affected by me. She is a little trooper. We just need her to stay in there for a few more weeks.

The worst part about this whole thing is I don't get to go to Dallas for my shower or my friends shower, which I was looking forward to. I don't get to go to my other shower in Austin either, but I guess it's better to stay at home and make sure that Callie is ok. We are excited for her to be here, but want her to wait a little longer. Thank you to everyone who has called or gone out of their way to be there for us. We appreciate it more than you can imagine! Thanks for everything and we can't wait to share our little girl with the world.
